IT Support Services
Managed IT support for GTA and Ontario businesses: a helpdesk your staff can reach, patching and monitoring of your devices, Microsoft 365 administration, backup checks and a 24/7 incident line for emergencies.

What does managed IT support include?
Managed IT support is the day-to-day running of your technology by an outside team. Your staff contact a helpdesk when something breaks, and the same team patches and monitors laptops and servers, administers Microsoft 365, checks backups and handles new starters and leavers. For Toronto offices specifically, see IT support in Toronto.
When something larger fails, such as a server, the internet line or a hacked account, the request is escalated to a senior technician. Outside business hours, urgent problems go to the 24/7 incident line at (289) 582-9930.
What we do each month
- Answer helpdesk tickets by phone and email, 24/7.
- Apply Windows, macOS and third-party updates on a schedule, and follow up on devices that miss them.
- Review Microsoft 365: licences, mailbox forwarding rules, guest accounts and admin roles.
- Check that backups ran and test a restore, so the first real restore is not also the first attempt.
- Set up and remove users: accounts, devices, shared mailboxes and access to line-of-business apps.
- Keep a written record of the environment (devices, licences, passwords in a vault, vendor contacts) that belongs to you, not to us.
How a support request runs
Log it
Your staff call or email the helpdesk. Each request gets a ticket so nothing depends on someone remembering it.
Sort it
We decide how urgent it is: one person stuck, a team stuck, or the business stopped. Business-stopping problems are worked on first.
Fix it
Most fixes are done remotely. If the fault is physical, such as a failed switch or a dead laptop, we arrange an on-site visit or a replacement.
Close it
We write down what was wrong and what changed, and fix the cause if the same problem keeps coming back.
An example from our own work
A metrology company lost access to its Spire ERP database on every workstation one morning. We traced the outage to a server whose network profile had changed, corrected it and had every affected workstation working again the same morning. The ERP outage case study has the full sequence.
Other documented engagements are on our case studies page.
IT professional services: projects with an end date
Some work is a project rather than ongoing support: a Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace migration, a new network and Wi-Fi build, an office move, a server retirement or a security clean-up after a change of provider. These IT professional services are scoped and quoted in writing before work starts, whether or not you have a managed agreement with us.
A project ends with documentation you keep: what was changed, where the admin accounts and licences now sit, and what to check next. Our IT professional services guide explains how to scope one and what to ask any provider.
Areas we cover
We work from offices in Vaughan, Toronto and Vancouver and support businesses across the GTA and the rest of Ontario. Each city page explains how support runs there.
We also support businesses in Toronto, Vaughan, North York, Scarborough, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Milton, Burlington, Pickering, Aurora, Newmarket, Whitby and Ajax; see services across the GTA or every area we cover.
Related help
If you still run older servers, our guide to Windows Server 2016 end of support covers your options before the January 2027 deadline.
If something is down right now, see emergency IT services. The incident line takes calls whether or not you are a client.
Plans, onboarding and compliance
Onboarding steps, what a managed agreement covers and the privacy frameworks we help with are set out once on our managed IT plans page. Work outside an agreement is scoped and quoted in writing first.
IT support services: common questions
Not quite. A help desk is the part of IT support your staff contact when something stops working. IT support is the wider job: the help desk plus monitoring and patching of devices, Microsoft 365 administration, backup checks, networks and security. Our helpdesk and incident line are staffed 24/7.
Managed IT support covers the day-to-day running of your technology: a helpdesk your staff can contact for problems, proactive monitoring and patching of devices and servers, Microsoft 365 and account administration, backup oversight, user onboarding and offboarding, and escalation when something larger breaks.
Yes. The 24/7 incident line means an urgent issue that surfaces overnight, on a weekend or over a holiday reaches a person when it occurs. This matters most for businesses running shifts, serving customers outside 9-to-5, or operating across time zones.
Yes. Most issues are resolved remotely because that is faster, but on-site support is available across the Greater Toronto Area when work needs hands on the equipment: network and cabling problems, hardware failures, office moves, and new-site setups. IT Rapid Support operates from Vaughan.
Break-fix means you pay per incident and problems are only addressed after they have already disrupted work. Managed support is ongoing: monitoring, patching, and maintenance run continuously to prevent failures, and support is included rather than billed per call, which also removes the incentive to delay asking for help.
Yes. Many clients have no in-house IT function at all and use IT Rapid Support as their complete IT department, covering the helpdesk, monitoring, security, cloud, backups, and technology planning. Others keep internal staff and use us for specific layers such as after-hours coverage or security.
Transitions start with documenting what you run and what access exists, then moving monitoring, accounts, and support channels over in a planned sequence rather than all at once. Call (289) 582-9930 or use the contact form to talk through what a transition would look like for your environment.
