Managed IT services means one provider runs your IT under an ongoing agreement, quoted per month: a helpdesk your staff can reach, monitoring and patching of every device, Microsoft 365 administration, tested backups and security. IT Rapid Support Inc. has provided managed IT to Ontario businesses from 7810 Keele St in Concord, Vaughan, since 2018, with offices in Toronto and Vancouver. Support is 24/7: day-to-day requests and ransomware, hacked mailboxes or suspected breaches all go to (289) 582-9930. A managed service provider holds access to many client systems, so the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security warns that a compromised provider exposes its clients too: check a provider’s own security before you hire one. The firm carries $2M in cyber liability insurance, and the same team handles incident and forensic work.
Managed IT services: how you can work with us.
Three ways to hand over IT, from overflow help for an in-house person to the whole function with security built in.
Fully managed IT
We run the whole function: helpdesk, monitoring and patching, Microsoft 365, backups with dated restore tests, and onboarding and offboarding.

Your internal IT person keeps the day-to-day; we take security, backups, projects and overflow.
Co-managed ITManaged IT plus security
Adds enforced MFA, email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), phishing training and incident response, for law, accounting, health and financial firms.
Managed security
What we check first for every new client.
- 01Who holds the admin logins today. Global admin, domain registrar, firewall and backup console move into accounts you own, each with MFA.
- 02MFA on every Microsoft 365 or Google account.
- 03Email authentication on your domain. In our August 2026 study of 481 GTA business domains, only 20.6% enforced DMARC.
- 04A backup restore, tested and dated.
These follow the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security’s baseline controls for small and medium organizations.
Infrastructure we design and install.
Structured cabling
Cat 6A runs to each access point and desk, labelled at both ends, with a test report for every link.
Business Wi-Fi design
Access points placed from a survey of the real walls and racking, not a coverage radius.
Security cameras and access control
Cameras and door controllers on their own network, away from staff PCs and payment terminals.
Device procurement and setup
Laptops enrolled in management before they reach the user, so they arrive encrypted and patched.
Google Workspace management
Admin roles, MFA and sharing settings for firms that run on Google rather than Microsoft.

Published case studies include a Microsoft 365 clean-up, DKIM and DMARC for a Vaughan integrator, and breach forensics that led to an identity plan.

Managed IT services: common questions
What is the difference between IT services and managed services?
- IT services is the broad term for any technology work a business buys, including one-off projects and hourly break-fix repairs. Managed services are an ongoing agreement in which the provider is responsible for keeping your systems working: monitoring, patching, helpdesk, backups and security, quoted per month. Break-fix is billed after something fails; managed IT is paid to prevent the failure.
Is managed IT services the same as MSP?
- Yes, in practice. A managed service provider, or MSP, is the company that delivers managed IT services under an ongoing agreement; the two terms describe the same arrangement from the provider’s side and the service side. IT Rapid Support is an MSP that also runs incident response, digital forensics and penetration testing, so the same team handles a breach.
What is not included in managed services?
- It depends on the agreement, which is why scope should be written down before you sign. New hardware, software licences and large projects such as office moves or migrations are commonly quoted separately. At IT Rapid Support, terms are set out in writing before you commit, including what stays your responsibility and the exit terms.
