Our office, and how a request is handled

IT Rapid Support has been at 7810 Keele St, Concord, ON L4K 0B7 since 2018. On-site visits across Vaughan, Concord, Woodbridge, Maple, Kleinburg and Thornhill are booked from this office.

Your staff contact the helpdesk by phone or email, 24/7. Passwords, Outlook, Teams and printer faults are usually fixed on the call. Hardware, cabling and server faults get a visit from Keele Street.

Serious incidents, such as ransomware or a hacked mailbox, go to the 24/7 incident line, (289) 582-9930. We carry $2M cyber liability insurance.

03

What we have measured in Vaughan

We publish our own local data. In the ITRS Vaughan email security study, October 2026, 290 mail-enabled Vaughan domains, only 17.9% enforced DMARC, the email setting that stops someone sending mail as your domain.

That matters in Vaughan because invoice fraud is the attack we see most against trades, builders and distributors. Test your own domain with the email spoof check. Our DKIM and DMARC for a Vaughan smart-home integrator shows the fix for a Vaughan company.

04

Concord and the Highway 400 corridor

Concord, where our office sits, is dominated by industrial, warehouse and distribution operations along Keele Street and Highway 400. Our Concord page goes street by street.

The problems are physical as much as digital. Wi-Fi has to reach racking and loading bays, not desks. Shared terminals, scanners and label printers sit on the network, the ERP or inventory system cannot go down during a shift, and carriers and vendors need controlled access in.

We put floor devices on their own network segment, survey Wi-Fi for the racking as installed, and give vendors time-limited remote access instead of a permanent open door. See our logistics and warehousing and manufacturing pages, and the ERP database outage traced and fixed in one morning case.

05

The VMC and hybrid offices

Since the subway extension reached the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, it has drawn head offices and professional tenants into modern towers. The questions there are about hybrid work, not warehouse coverage.

That means secure remote access, Microsoft 365 and Teams working for people who split their week, meeting rooms that work without a champion, and building internet you do not control. A second internet line and conditional access usually come first.

06

Woodbridge, Maple, Kleinburg and Thornhill

Woodbridge has a large base of construction, trades and family firms running crews away from head office, so mobile access, site-to-site links and document security carry the weight. See construction IT and our Woodbridge page.

Maple, Vellore Village and Patterson mix professional services with clinics and dental practices serving a fast-growing population. Patching has to happen outside appointment hours, and patient records fall under Ontario's PHIPA. Our Maple page covers the Major Mackenzie healthcare corridor.

Kleinburg is the smallest corner: the village core on Islington, small practices and owners running a company from home. The usual gaps are a consumer router doing a business job, no MFA on the owner's accounts and backups nobody has tested.

Thornhill straddles Yonge Street, half in Vaughan and half in Markham, and is weighted toward legal, accounting and financial firms. Our Thornhill guide covers both sides.

07

Hourly, monthly or part of it

There are three ways to work with us. Hourly work suits a firm with a short list of jobs. A managed agreement, scoped per month to your users and devices, suits a firm that wants one team accountable for all of it. IT outsourcing or co-managed IT suits a firm with an internal IT person who needs backup.

We do not publish prices. Our quote checker helps you compare proposals, and managed IT plans shows what each level includes.

08

How working with us starts

  1. A call, then a look

A short call about what is going wrong, then a review of your accounts, devices, network and backups.

  2. A written list

What is at risk, ranked, in plain English, with what each fix costs.

  3. Admin access to you

Global admin, registrar, firewall and backup logins move into accounts you own, each with MFA.

  4. Fix the cheap things first

MFA, email authentication and a tested restore, because they block the common attacks.

09

What gets fixed remotely and what needs a visit

Most requests never need anyone to drive anywhere. Password resets, locked accounts, Outlook and Teams faults, printer queues, VPN problems, software installs and Microsoft 365 changes are handled over a remote session the user approves.

Visits are for things that need hands: a failed drive or power supply, a new network switch, cabling, a firewall replacement, a new starter's desk setup, or a server that will not come back up. Because our office is on Keele Street, a visit to Concord, Woodbridge or Maple is short, but it is still booked rather than promised within a set number of minutes. We do not print a dispatch time we cannot always keep.

10

All of IT, or only part of it

Some Vaughan firms hand us the whole job. Others already employ an IT person and want help with the parts that person cannot cover alone: security monitoring, backups, Microsoft 365 hardening, after-hours incidents, or a large project such as a server replacement.

That second model is co-managed IT. The internal person keeps the day-to-day relationship with staff, and we provide the tools, the second pair of eyes and the cover during holidays. It works best when the split is written down: who patches what, who approves admin changes, and who answers the incident line. For firms outsourcing everything, our IT outsourcing page covers how the handover is planned.

11

Network support and IT consulting

Warehouses along Highway 400 and the Keele corridor need Wi-Fi that reaches the racking, scanners on their own network, and a firewall that keeps the warehouse floor away from finance. Offices in the VMC need guest and staff networks separated and remote access that works for hybrid staff. Older units in Woodbridge often need the cabling sorted out before anything else will be reliable.

Consulting is the planning side of the same work: a written assessment of what you have, a ranked list of risks, and a budget for the next year or two. For firms that want a standing advisor rather than a one-off report, our vCIO service runs a regular planning review.

How to choose an IT company

To choose an IT company in Vaughan, compare providers on written answers rather than proximity or headline response times: who owns your admin accounts and domain, how backups are tested, what the monthly scope excludes, how a night-time compromise is handled, what insurance they carry and how you would leave.

Proximity helps, but it is not the main test. Ask who owns the admin accounts and the domain, how backups are tested and when the last restore was, what reply commitment is written into the agreement, what is billed outside the monthly scope, and how you would leave. A provider who answers those plainly and in writing is a safer choice than one with a faster headline response time.

The IT quote checker puts those questions next to each proposal, and the IT risk self-check gives you a starting score before any conversation.

Our guide to choosing a managed IT provider turns those questions into a 20-point scoring sheet, and the managed IT cost guide explains what moves a quote.
